Audio Sample from 'In The Garden'

In The Garden Transition and Main Theme:

In 2010 Alan was hired to compose and arrange the music to PBS's popular gardening show "In The Garden with Bryce Lane." It airs every Saturday on UNC-TV. "In the Garden with Bryce Lane" a 30-minute weekly educational television program hosted by N.C. State University's Bryce Lane, teaches you the fundamentals of horticulture -- how plants grow, plant identification, home landscaping techniques and information and ideas you can use in and around your homes to get the most from your garden and increase the beauty of your home. In the first sample you'll see/hear how they used Alan's music to "tease" the viewers with that episode's contents. It immediately goes into the main theme. In the 2nd sample you'll see/hear how Alan's music is used for "transitions" in the video. Do you have a video presentation that needs original music? Contact Double A Audio!

'Lyrics Only'

Taking your lyrics and putting it to music
For this project the client had poetry that she wanted put to music. I composed the music based on her style choice (sacred/flowing/inspirational) and the flow of the words. She had a 4 hour budget for each song so that involved a vocal and piano only. Small amount of instruments but large results! That’s all me (piano and vocal).

'Endless'

Taking your melody and putting it to music
For this project the client walked in with only a melody and a style (Chris Botti Jazz). I hired a local trumpeter and the result was fantastic!

'You're Breakin'

Taking your melody and music (your completed instrumental song) and putting it to music
For this project the client had a melody line with no lyrics (she wanted it instrumental) and knew roughly what chords she wanted. She wanted a trombone and piano to play the melody lines. That’s me, Double A on the Trombone!

'Night'

Taking your lyrics and melody and putting it to music
For these projects the client took out her guitar and played/sang the song. I recorded this and went from there. Sample 4 that a guitarist and female vocalist were hired. This project took approximately 15 hours. She wanted it done right!

'Kristen 2'

Creating a Theme Song or “Jingle” for your project
Sample 6 is the final version of a Theme song that was composed and performed by me for a very popular and local FM (G 105) morning radio program (Bob and the Showgram). It is the theme for “Kristen’s Hollywood Headlines.” This theme has ran for over a year and shows how Double A Audio can utilize 21 century sounds and technologies! That’s me singing ALL the parts!

'Kristen 1'

Sample 7 is the 1st version of the “Kristen” theme mentioned above. They wanted it “edgy” but not “that edgy.” It also shows how Double A Audio can use dance grooves and 21 century sounds and technologies. This project was fun!

'Live'

Sample 8 was Double A Audio’s entry into “Live with Regis and Kelly’s” 2009 theme song contest. I didn’t win….but…..

'Plop'

Sample 9 was Double A Audio’s entry into Alka Seltzer’s 2008 theme song contest. Nope. I didn’t win!

'Trivia Gems'

Sample 10 is the theme I composed/arranged/recorded for Pat Sajak’s Trivia Gems video game. The client wanted it to sound “like a 70’s game show” theme. They did not want the modern sounds/samples. They wanted a 70’s feel.

'Duran'

Sample 11 is the background music for a video game I was hired to compose. The client wanted it to sound “Duran Duranish” without breaking any copyright laws. They wanted an 80’s feel. Mission accomplished!

'In My Life'

Creating a “musical gift” to a loved one or a friend by you singing/playing a special song for them or their special occasion
For this project the client wanted to do something special for her parent’s wedding anniversary. I arranged the music and she came in and sang it “to her parents.” It was a big hit!
